西アフリカ・ガーナ共和国の首都アクラ出身のピアニスト＆シンガー、Robが1977年に【Essiebon】から放った70年代アフリカン・ファンク傑作盤をMr. Bongoがリイシュー！ ベニンでOrchestre Poly-Rythmo de Cotonouらと活動をともにし腕を磨き、アクラに帰還後に作り上げた本作と『Make It Fast, Make It Slow』のソロ・アルバム2枚は70年代アフリカン・ファンクの最高峰と謳われる。ロブの呪術的ヴォーカルの指揮のもと、ファンキー・オルガンとワウワウ・ギター、ホーン隊が一丸となって生み出すJBマナーのグルーヴは最高です。
